NBA Trade Grades: Cavaliers acquire Rodney Hood, George Hill in 3-team trade
The Cleveland Cavaliers will acquire Rodney Hood and George Hill as part of a three-team deal with the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings. Here are NBA Trade Grades for all three sides.
In the hours leading up to the 2018 NBA Trade Deadline, it seemed like the league was heading for a quiet day. Then Cleveland Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman happened.
After swinging a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers that will send Isaiah Thomas to Hollywood in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr., the Cavs GM immediately fired off another doozy: A three-team deal with the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings.
As first reported by ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cavs will receive Rodney Hood from Utah and George Hill from Sacramento.
The Jazz get Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose from Cleveland, while the Kings will take on Iman Shumpert, Joe Johnson, a 2020 second round pick (via the Miami Heat) and cash — leaving the final deal looking like this:
- Cavaliers receive: Rodney Hood and George Hill
- Jazz receive: Jae Crowder, Derrick Rose
- Kings receive: Joe Johnson, Iman Shumpert, 2020 second round pick (via Heat), cash
The question is, how did each team fare in this swap? In order to sort it all out, here are NBA Trade Grades for all three teams.
