Is there a suitor for Jodie Meeks?

One player that wants out on the Washington Wizards roster is shooting guard Jodie Meeks. According to the Washington Post‘s Candace Buckner, Meeks and his camp have requested a trade in the past couple days, citing his want for a bigger role on another team:

His role on the Wizards has gone less than smoothly as backup shooting guard to Bradley Beal. Meeks is averaging just 6.1 points and 1.6 rebounds this season while shooting just 37.1 percent from the floor and 30.6 percent from 3-point range. His 3-point field goal percentage is the lowest it’s been since his rookie season (2009-10) when he was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks for 41 games.

Meeks has appeared 39 games combined in the past two seasons. He hasn’t fit in well playing in 51 games for the Wizards this season and is averaging just 15.4 minutes per game. He put up a season-high 21 points against back on Nov. 29 against Philadelphia, but since then, his production hasn’t been up to par. He’s currently on the first year of a two-year, $7 million deal. If the Wizards can’t find a suitor for him, he may have to just ride out the rest of his contract.
