Twin Towers in Detroit

Having two former All-Stars in the frontcourt ready wreck havoc on the Eastern Conference could be just what the doctor ordered for the ailing Pistons.

Griffin is averaging 22.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this season. Any chances he had of winning a title with the Clippers disappeared the moment Kevin Durant packed his bags and left OKC for the Bay, and that was doubly true once Chris Paul left.

Andre Drummond is averaging 14.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. Drummond is listed at 6’11” and Griffin is listed at 6’10”.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are having trouble pulling things together and just lost Kevin Love for two months. John Wall of the Washington Wizards is out for at least six weeks recovering from a knee injury. The Eastern Conference featuring two motivated big men with something to prove could make the second half of the 2017-18 season exciting as the Pistons fight to climb up the Eastern Conference standings

The Pistons got the best player in this trade. The tandem of DeAndre Jordan bodes well for Andre Drummond and Griffin. They can fit. But is the dynamic tandem enough to outweigh the injury concerns?
