Overall

The Washington Wizards could have done a whole lot better on their five-game road trip but there’s plenty of more games left for them to recover. In the grand scheme of things, the Wizards are 16-11 against teams below the .500 mark but 11-11 against teams above .500.

There’s no need for them to panic yet, but if they want to make a deep run in the playoffs like last year, something needs to change. It may boil down to making a move at the NBA Trade Deadline, which should surprise nobody. The Washington Wizards have made a move around the trade deadline faithfully these past few seasons. This season should be no different as they have some frontcourt issues they need to solve.

Marcin Gortat looks like their best asset to move as the upcoming deadline approaches. Considering he’s 33 years old, it may be hard to move him without attaching some sort of draft pick as well, putting the Wizards in even more of a bind in the offseason.

Change is needed on this Washington Wizards roster, that’s for sure. Right now, shaking up the starting rotation could help improve the overall result. However, it could leave the Wizards struggling on defense, which has happened far too often this season.
