With Utah Jazz wing Rodney Hood on the trade market, here are three contending teams that could use Hood’s services and why they should trade for him as they prepare for a playoff run.

With the Utah Jazz not making up ground like they hoped they would to begin the second half of the 2017-18 NBA season, players names have started to hit the trade rumors.

This time around, it’s Utah wing Rodney Hood.

The New York Times‘ Marc Stein reported over the weekend that many around the NBA believe Hood could be on the move from Utah, with multiple teams interested.

As we wrote about a week ago, Hood is one of three Utah players that makes sense to be traded before the NBA’s Feb. 8 trade deadline, if and when the Jazz are ready to become sellers.

It’s no surprise that Hood would attract the interest of numerous teams around the association, with him being a young player that has the ability to start, come off the bench and hurt opponents from anywhere on the floor. In 36 games, Hood has averaged 16.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists, while shooting 41.3 percent from the field and a career-high 38.6 percent from 3.

As the rumor mill heats up, let’s take a look at three contending teams that could use Hood as they head down the stretch of the regular season and begin postseason play.
