5. Los Angeles Lakers

The Chicago Bulls can pull of a deal for Los Angeles Laker big man Julius Randle, but Magic Johnson might play hardball in negotiations … and for good reason!

It has taken some hard work and time to finally put together the right assets to establish a new team identity after the Kobe Bryant era came to a conclusion.  Now in the driver’s seat, the Lakers must make the right move, and the Chicago Bulls may be just what they are looking for in a trade partner.

The Lakers have a plethora of marketable big men that they are looking to unload.  Of course, they will be interested to strike a deal, but it is known that the Lakers are also looking to unload the contract of Luol Deng.

The Chicago Bulls would get an elite rebounding and passing big with untold ceiling with Julius Randle, but not before absorbing Deng’s contract. This could very well happen, especially since they are way under the salary cap as is, but would be mostly contingent on Gar Forman’s willingness to accept Deng’s highly undesirable contract.
