Detroit Pistons, Jan. 19

The next stop on the Washington Wizards’ road trip takes them to the state of Michigan where they visit the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons are one team Washington seems to have figured out this season. The Wizards are currently 2-0 against Detroit this year with two more meetings looming. The third meeting comes Friday night in Detroit.

Washington has won in both close and blowout fashion against the Pistons in 2017-18, showing their consistency in at least one way. Detroit isn’t the best road team (9-15), but at home, their record is 13-6.

The odds favor the Wizards, however. Despite holding the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference, Detroit is currently 2-5 in the month of January. Bradley Beal and Otto Porter Jr. have been models of consistency against them as well. Beal has averaged 17.5 points, 3.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game through two contests. Porter has put up 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game as well.

Washington shouldn’t have a difficult time finding a victory here. Feeding Porter and Beal consistently should bring positive results.
