2. JaMychal Green, Memphis Green

With the Grizzlies likely to be on the verge of a rebuild, relieving themselves of the final year of Green’s contract could make such a deal quite appealing.

Signed in the offseason to a two-year, $16.4 million deal, Green missed a lengthy stretch of the early season due to an ankle injury. But since his return, Green has demonstrated some of the form that led to him being a key component of a Grizzlies team that competed in the postseason for the seventh consecutive season last year.

However, with the possibility of Mike Conley missing the rest of the regular season, and center Marc Gasol soon to turn 33, the time could be ripe for the Grizzlies to begin a complete teardown of the roster. In 27 games this season, Green has averaged 10.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in 26.9 minutes per game.

Primarily a stretch-4, Green’s 7’2″ wingspan enables him to provide the Grizzlies with a range of options on the defensive end. One example is when defending the roll man on the pick-and-roll, where Green ranks in the 85.6th percentile for the season. He’s also proven to be capable when isolated, allowing just 0.85 points per possession on 27 isolation possessions this season.

Offensively, Green has the ability to step out beyond the 3-point line, as evidenced by his 37.9 percent shooting clip from long range. In terms of his role with the Sixers, Green would primarily backup Saric at the 4, while also being able to pinch-hit at the 5 if the Sixers opted to go ultra-small.

For the Grizzlies, the move to acquire Booker simply provides them with an expiring deal, allowing them to look forward to the summer with additional flexibility.
