The losses

In the six games the Bucks lost when Brogdon was running the point, two of them were to the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, putting those two games aside, Brogdon’s opponent almost always had a great game.

In the loss to the Boston Celtics, Kyrie Irving had 24 points and seven assists. Irving shot at 56 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep. In the loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Russell Westbrook had a triple-double.

In the loss against the Detroit Pistons, Reggie Jackson had eight assists but shot the ball poorly. Finally, in the loss to the Charlotte Hornets, Kemba Walker had 26 points, shooting 67 percent from the field and 75 percent from deep.

These numbers are damning on the defense of Brogdon and are a big part of the reason he is now in the second unit. He still cannot cut it defensively against the best point guards in the league and this was costing the Bucks.
