Rationale:

  • Opponents have run out of ways to defend Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving. The four-time All-Star has scored 33 points in each of his last two games and has capped a stretch of 28.8 points per game on 52.9 percent shooting from the field while connecting on 43.9 percent of his shots from 3-point range. The efficient shooting from Irving isn’t an anomaly, as his 49.4 percent shooting for the year ranks second among all point guards in the league.
  • Once again Jeff Teague is proving to be one of the most potent facilitators in the league. Even though he has played just 25 games for Minnesota, Teague has quickly connected with his new teammates. Teague is dishing out 7.1 assists a night, the eighth-highest average in the league, including eight performances with 10 or more assists. For the year, Teague is averaging 30.1 points in FanDuel NBA tournament play, making him a bargain at $6,400 Saturday night.
