Utah Jazz: Time to make a move before it’s too late
Alec Burks
A player who quite possibly has been impacted the most by the recent success of rookie Donovan Mitchell is guard Alec Burks.
Burks has seen his numbers and production suffer a bit this year, averaging career-lows in points per game (6.3) and assists per game (0.6), while averaging 2.6 rebounds a contest, his lowest since the 2012-13 season.
That could put Utah in a position to make a decision on Burks, who will make $10 million this season and over $11 million next season.
Although his contract might make it harder to trade him away, Burks still has the capability to help an NBA team. His ability to shoot, especially from 3, and his aggressiveness to get to the free throw line are both valuable traits in the league.

It will be interesting to see if the Jazz decide to ultimately hold onto Burks or Joe Johnson, or if they ship away either player. But if the Jazz do indeed decide to make a move, Burks could be finding himself on the way out in Utah.
