Top 4 Shooting Guards

  1. James Harden ($11,800) vs. Memphis Grizzlies
  2. C.J. McCollum ($7,300) vs. Sacramento Kings
  3. Nicolas Batum ($6,500) vs. L.A. Clippers
  4. Donovan Mitchell ($6,400) vs. Orlando Magic

Rationale:

  • The return of Nicolas Batum, after he missed the first 12 games of the year with an elbow injury, has given the Hornets’ offense a new dynamic. Few players at the shooting guard position are better at facilitating the offense than Batum. In his first game back, Batum dished out six assists, a mark he reached 40 times in 77 appearances last season. A year ago, Batum was one of just six players in the league to average at least 15 points, five rebounds and five assists a game, giving him the potential of a breakout FanDuel NBA performance on any night.
  • The Jazz are beginning to experiment with rookie Donovan Mitchell at the point guard position. In need of an offensive facilitator following the loss of Ricky Rubio to a sore Achilles tendon resulted in a 15-point, eight-rebound, seven assist effort from Mitchell. The first-year guard out of Louisville has been one of the most impressive newcomers in the league, averaging 14.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
