Rationale:

  • Fresh off his worst shooting performance of the year, Stephen Curry is looking to recover against Philadelphia. Curry managed to score nine points, the first time he has failed to reach double figures, on 3-of-14 (21.4 percent) shooting from the field. A year ago, Curry failed to convert at least 30 percent of his attempts from the field on just five occasions, but in the contests that followed, he averaged 27 points on 52.5 percent shooting from the field.
  • The loss of Mike Conley indefinitely, the result of a sore left heel and Achilles tendon, opens up the starting point guard position for Mario Chalmers. The passing ability of Chalmers, as he dished out six assists Wednesday night against the Pacers, enables him to be a factor for FanDuel NBA rosters.
