Top 4 Shooting Guards

  1. James Harden ($12,500) vs. Phoenix Suns
  2. Devin Booker ($7,600) vs. Houston Rockets
  3. Klay Thompson ($6,800) vs. Boston Celtics
  4. Eric Gordon ($6,100) vs. Phoenix Suns

Rationale:

  • The true adjustment period for James Harden will begin Thursday night in Phoenix. The NBA’s leader in assists per game (10.3) and second-leading scorer (30.7 points per game) will have to share the ball with Chris Paul. Without Paul in the lineup for the past 14 games, Harden topped all players in time of possession, handling the ball for 9.9 minutes a game, over a minute more than any other player in the league. In his lone regular season appearance playing alongside Paul, Harden totaled 27 points, 11 assists and six rebounds, meaning he is a viable FanDuel NBA roster option no matter the situation.
  • Opponents have yet to prevent Klay Thompson from connecting from 3-point range this season. In 14 contests, Thompson has knocked down 52 shots from 3-point range at a 47.7 percent clip. The accuracy from long range has led to Thompson converting three or more 3-point field goals in each of his last six games, two short of the longest such run in his career. Thompson’s accuracy isn’t limited to his 3-point shooting; he is one of just three qualified shooting guards converting over 50 percent of their field goal attempts this year.
