Top 4 Point Guards

  1. Chris Paul ($8,900) vs. Phoenix Suns
  2. Kyrie Irving ($8,300) vs. Golden State Warriors
  3. Mike James ($4,700) vs. Houston Rockets
  4. Terry Rozier ($4,400) vs. Golden State Warriors

Rationale:

  • Houston has such a limited sample size to determine if the pairing of Chris Paul and James Harden can truly work. Paul logged 33 minutes in the season opener, but has missed the past 14 games with a left knee contusion. After sitting out the past four weeks, Paul is slated to return Thursday against Phoenix. Even when his shot isn’t falling, as was the case in his lone appearance, Paul is able to supplement his value for FanDuel NBA lineups in other ways. Paul finished with just four points in his Rockets debut on 2-of-9 shooting from the field, but tallied 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals.
  • A lofty point total from Kyrie Irving is almost assured each night. In 14 appearances with the Celtics, Irving has scored 20 or more points on 10 occasions, including a 25-point effort in his first game wearing a protective face mask — a necessity following an inadvertent collision with teammate Aaron Baynes Friday night. While Irving has helped transform Boston into an elite team, with the best record in the in the Eastern Conference and a 13-game winning streak, the four-time All-Star is hoping looking to post a double-double for the first time since opening night.
