Rationale:

  • An annoying finger injury on his left hand won’t keep Portland point guard Damian Lillard out of the lineup Monday night against the Nuggets. The presence of Lillard in the lineup is good news for the Trail Blazers, as he has averaged 22.3 points, 6.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds in 18 career appearances against Denver. The points have tended to come in bunches for Lillard this season, as he has scored 25 or more points eight times in 12 appearances, meaning he is a breakout star any night for FanDuel NBA lineups.
  • The poor shooting simply can’t continue for Memphis point guard Mike Conley. At the rim, Conley is knocking down 59 percent of his attempts, but everywhere else, he has been dismal. Conley is shooting just 39.7 percent, and only 10 players qualified among the league leaders are shooting a lower percentage. For his career, Conley is a 44.2 percent shooter from the field and he has converted over 45 percent of his shot attempts in three of the past four years.
