1. It’s all about teamwork

Tobias Harris, Andre Drummond and Avery Bradley started the season in All-Star form and continue to improve with each game. Individually, the players are excelling and exceeding the expectations many had for them this season. They’re playing like extensions of their teammates.

Assist and scoring averages have gone up this season, which is a testament to the team-first mentality in Detroit. Not knowing who to focus on from night to night poses a scouting problem for opposing teams.

Per Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press, Andre Drummond is happy about playing a bigger offensive role and creating opportunities for his teammates.

"“I think it’s a good sacrifice and I’m excited about my new role and way more involved in the offense, I’m able to make plays and get teammates open with my passing and activity.”"

What is most outstanding about the Pistons trending upwards is how they’re stringing together these wins. One night they’re winning a low-scoring game by flexing their defensive muscles. The next night, Tobias Harris or Avery Bradley are shooting lights out and holding their own against the defending champions. On another night, it’s Andre Drummond taking over.

In short, the Pistons are playing complete team ball and it’s paying off in the win column.
