9. De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

Last week: No. 5 (↓4)

The Sacramento Kings are another team that has hit on some hard times. They have a 1-7 record as well in the Western Conference, but rookie De’Aaron Fox has been one bright spot for them off the bench.

Fox is averaging 12.5 points, 5.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 40.4 percent from the field. He is sixth among rookies in scoring and tied for third among rookies with Dennis Smith Jr. in assists per game.

Sacramento ranks 29th in the NBA in scoring (93.1 points per game), 28th in assists (18.8 per game) and 28th in rebounds (40.5 per game). The youth and inexperience is flowing among the Kings roster and it’s largely shown in their last three contests.

They’re averaging 84 points per game as a team while getting 9.7 points per game from Fox in 27.4 minutes per game. With growing pains showing early, a change in the rotation for Fox could be on the way. The Kings have lost six straight games and counting heading into their next contest with the Detroit Pistons on Nov. 4.
