Rationale:

  • A familiar name is leading the Portland Trail Blazers in a very unexpected way. After two games this season, point guard Damian Lillard has rejected the most shots, sending back four attempts. Lillard set a career-high on opening night, swatting away three shots against the Suns during blowout victory. The 27-year-old Lillard led Portland in minutes, points, 3-point field goals and assists last season and the blocks are a welcome addition for FanDuel NBA scoring totals.
  • In just his ninth career start, Dejounte Murray proved is he ready to anchor the point guard position in San Antonio. The 6-5 guard out of Washington played an extremely efficient 25 minutes against the Timberwolves Wednesday night, scoring 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field to go along with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block. A quadricep injury is going to sideline Tony Parker for at least the next six weeks, making the $5,000 for Murray in FanDuel NBA leagues a bargain.
