5. Thibodeau has his guys

It is no secret that head coach Tom Thibodeau has a style of coaching that fits certain players very well. This offseason he added several players that fit his game plan very well. Not only do they fit his scheme, but three of them have played for him in the past. Some fans have even joked about the Timberwolves’ new nickname being the “Timberbulls” after the new additions.

All jokes aside, bringing in guys who already have chemistry with a coach is a great thing. The team will mesh faster and chemistry will not be as much of an issue since the new players already know what to expect.

The three former Chicago Bulls that signed with the Wolves this offseason were Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Aaron Brooks. Butler and Gibson will play a large role, while Brooks provides extra security at the point guard position.
