Despite his inability to play defense, he’s proved increasingly capable around an overall better team during his time on the Washington Wizards. In his span of time there (not including the postseason), he finished the season with an offensive rating of 113. This is a vast improvement compared to his career 105 offensive rating.
Taking a look at his shot chart, his range is typically in the paint or beyond the arc and rarely anywhere in between. Within three feet of the basket he makes 66 percent of his shot attempts. Coming in second among his favorable ranges is 16 feet or beyond, where he made 57.9 percent of those attempts. However, it was his least common area to shoot from at just 8.1 percent of his shot selection.
Instead of practicing his jumper on the outside, banging down low and drawing fouls will likely work in his favor as he is a excellent shooter from the free throw line. He made a career high 89.3 percent from the charity stripe last season and is shooting 86.1 percent for his career.
