Portland Trail Blazers: 5 bold predictions for 2017-18 NBA season

Here is a list of five bold predictions concerning the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2017-18 NBA regular season.

The Portland Trail Blazers are going to take the entire league by surprise this season. Barring any significant health issues with Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum or Jusuf Nurkic, the Blazers are — on paper — a top-10 team in the NBA.

And I haven’t even begun to list my five bold predictions.

Some fans may understandably rule out the Blazers because the team didn’t really make any notable moves during the offseason, whereas teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves each added at least one former All-Star.

Regardless of that incredibly minute detail, the fact of the matter is the Blazers have yet to fully sow the seeds they planted at the end of last season, and their core is still relatively young and improves every day.

Keeping that in mind, here are five bold predictions for the Portland Trail Blazers as we head into the 2017-18 regular season.
