29. Ramon Sessions, New York Knicks

Fingers crossed we can fill Frank Ntilikina‘s name in this space in a couple of months, but between his nagging injuries over the summer, Ramon Sessions getting the start in Ntilikina’s only preseason appearance and the fact that the New York Knicks never do anything right, Sessions gets the nod.

So what can the Knicks expect from their starting point guard in 2017-18 until Ntilikina proves he’s ready to take up the mantle? Veteran presence!..and…poise!…and…you know what? We’re not doing this.

Not that Sessions is a bad guy to have on your team, it’s just he’s more fit to be a backup. Ntilikina could use a veteran mentor, sure, but does Ramon Sessions really scream “quality example to follow?” He is what he is: a decent, non-glamorous floor general who will be outmatched on an almost nightly basis. In a tanking season, I guess that’s kind of the point.
