5. The Wolves will beat the Golden State Warriors twice

This may sound too bold, but the Timberwolves have a history of playing well against the Warriors. Last season the Wolves beat the Warriors only once, but they were in all of the games they played. They also won a game against the Warriors during the 2015-16 season. What is impressive about that is that the Warriors only lost nine games during that entire season.

Last season when the Wolves won, Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns proved to be too much for the Warriors. If they figure out how to play well with Jeff Teague and Jimmy Butler in the mix, the Dubs will have their hands full.

The Wolves were off the a good start against the Warriors during preseason before getting slammed by 32 in their most recent outing. They beat the Warriors 111-97 in their second preseason game at Shenzhen Universiade Center in China.

Obviously that game didn’t feature the starters the entire time, but it did prove one important thing for the Timberwolves. It showed that their bench is improved, especially against a team that is known for having one of the deepest benches in the NBA.
