4. The Wolves will reach 57 wins this season

Now, 57 wins isn’t that much higher than where ESPN predicted the Wolves to finish. It could be the difference between a third and sixth seed though in a brutally tough Western Conference. The Wolves have the talent to do it, but will have to click from the get-go in order to accomplish this.

As a reference, last season the Warriors had 67 wins and the San Antonio Spurs had 61 wins. The Houston Rockets were just under 57 wins with 55, while the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz both finished with 51. There were no teams in the Eastern Conference that reached 57 wins. Looking at that 57 does not seem out of the question by any means.

Historically for the Wolves, this looks to be more of a challenge. Their best season was when they finished with 58 wins in 2004, led by Kevin Garnett. That was also the closest the Wolves ever got to the NBA Finals. They lost in the Western Conference Finals that year.
