Derrick Rose needs a big season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Here are five goals for the former MVP.

As we chronicled last week, Derrick Rose’s career hinges on the 2017-18 season. His success, or lack thereof, could result in an influx of millions of George Washingtons when he hits the market next summer. But his legacy is on the line as well.

A solid season cements Rose as a viable third or fourth option on any team. That’s a win considering some thought he’d struggle to find meaningful minutes after multiple leg injuries.

But a bad year buries Rose, reinforcing the notion he’s damaged goods and potentially approaching retirement.
