5. Embrace a leadership role

As was already touched on, Jordan will be asked to step up as a leader for the Clippers. Paul was the floor general and leader of the Clippers over the past few years and L.A. will certainly miss his leadership. Griffin will be viewed as the primary leader for Los Angeles, but they will need a second leader behind their franchise player.

Jordan can lead both on and off the floor this season. Defensively, he will be asked to continue being the rim protector and “quarterback” of the defense.

L.A. has brought in quite a few young frontcourt players as well. The Clips brought in pieces like Montrezl Harrell and also have Brice Johnson, who they expect to develop. Being able to work with those two young pieces will be a major key for Jordan.

Being an emotional leader on the court has never been an issue for Jordan. L.A. will need that emotion and energy each and every night, which Jordan will be happy to produce.
