San Antonio Spurs: Biggest strengths and weaknesses for 2017-18

Since Popovich joined, he has had many different teams. He has lost his franchise players but he always seems to have a backup plan. When David Robinson retired in 2003, Tim Duncan took over. When Duncan retired in 2016, Leonard took over.
It is hard to believe that these players would all become superstars coincidentally. Popovich is the main reason that these players and the Spurs as a whole have seen success.
When he took over the head coaching position in 1996, the Spurs were able to win a titles just three years later. Now, San Antonio has added five banners and won at least 50 games every season since 2000.
Popovich seems to be able to do no wrong. With this team full of fresh faces, it is likely he will be able to mold them into something great. It is hard to bet against Pop.
