2. Average over 20 points per game

Only two truly dominant scoring centers exist in the NBA, with Karl-Anthony Towns and DeMarcus Cousins closing out the 2016-17 season as the only players at the position to average over 20 points per game.

In Utah, Rudy Gobert has to adjust to becoming the focal point of the offensive attack.

The loss of Gordon Hayward in free agency to Boston, along with George Hill agreeing to terms with the Kings, eliminates the two top scorers from the Jazz a year ago and vacates nearly 30 percent of the total points scored by the team.

Utah added two players, Ricky Rubio and Thabo Sefolosha, in their place, but both bring a defensive intensity to the squad, not a scoring punch.

Plenty of shots will be available for Gobert, and with the league’s highest total shooting percentage, at 68.1 percent, he could be in line for a massive bump from the 14 points per game he averaged last seaosn.
