3. Average over 15 rebounds per game

For the first time in his career, Rudy Gobert collected over 1,000 rebounds during the 2016-17 campaign, totaling 1,035, fourth-most in the NBA.

Gobert set a franchise record with 314 offensive rebounds and the 12.8 rebonds per game he averaged is tied for the second-most any Jazz player has ever totaled.

If Gobert manages to pull down 1,220 rebounds, enough for an average of 15.0 per game over 82 games, he will join Truck Robinson as the only player in franchise history to accomplish the feat.

The 1,200 rebound total is a number that used to be commonplace in the NBA, as it has been accomplished 77 times by 20 players, but DeAndre Jordan and Dennis Rodman are the only players to collect that many missed shots in the past 25 years.

Shots failing to fall through the net are common in Jazz games, as the team held its opposition to 44.3 percent shooting from the field, the second-lowest in the NBA, while converting 46.6 percent of its own shots.

The result was a total of 6,841 total rebounding opportunities, or 83.4 rebounds a night for Gobert to chase down. If he can gain possession 15 times a night, he should be able to secure his first selection to the Western Conference All-Star team.
