4. Mario Hezonja

Mario Hezonja’s case is completely different to that of teammate Biyombo, in that the team is under zero pressure to move the player.

He still has two years left on his rookie deal and so it would be in Orlando’s best interest to see if it can get anything out of him. After all, he was the fifth pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, and he appears to be nearing bust status — if he hasn’t hit it already.

Hezonja holds career averages of 5.5 points per game and 32.7 percent 3-point shooting. “Super Mario” was supposed to give this team the injection of offensive creativity it sorely lacked.

He has failed to do that, and although his talent shines through on occasion on the court, it looks like his confidence has been shattered by trying to impress different coaches during his time there.

Hezonja will start the season with the Magic, and he should be given one more chance to prove his worth. With a contract extension coming up next year, however, perhaps this season is the time to cut ties with the player, as it may work out best for both parties.

The Magic aren’t likely to get much in return for the guy. The market for his services is likely small right now, simply by virtue of the way he’s played.

But if they could pick up a second round pick for him, or else another young player in need of a change of scenery, they would be mad not to seriously consider it.

It would be a shame to see Hezonja’s time with the team end like this, but the truth is he isn’t higher on this list only because it’s hard to know what other teams would want him. A real shame.
