4. Vince Carter discusses his most famous dunk

One of the new members of the Sacramento Kings is Vince Carter. While Carter is now in the twilight of his career, he is still one of the NBA’s most impressive athletes. Videos of his 360 dunk from practice last year went viral, showing that Vinsanity can still throw down with the best of them.

Carter has earned his reputation as one of the best dunkers of all-time — and maybe the best ever. Despite sporting a jam-packed highlight reel, Vince’s greatest dunk is indisputably his throwdown over Frederic Weis during the 2000 Olympics.

On the 17th anniversary of the play, Vince discussed the dunk at Kings Media Day. Most notably, he did not even know what he had done until after the play:

"“When it actually happened I actually did not know that I had jumped over Frederic [Weis]…I saw him there, I stole the ball, take the two dribbles and jump and I’m looking at the rim. I don’t even remember seeing him there. I remember the initial touch of the shoulder and that’s it.”"

Somehow, even all these years later, Vince Carter manages to amaze fans around the world when talking about a dunk that still resonates today.
