NBA: 10 players sure to regress in 2017-18

5. George Hill

Like Z-Bo at No. 7, George Hill warrants a spot on this list for two reasons: 1) He’s joining a Sacramento Kings team that has depth at his particular position and 2) He’s on the wrong side of 30, despite what his sizable offseason contract might say.

Unlike Randolph, Hill just posted a career-high 16.9 points per game on efficient .477/.403/.801 shooting splits, and there’s a chance Dave Joerger rides his veterans a bit harder than you’d expect for a rebuild, especially with ex-Grizzlies Z-Bo and Vince Carter on his roster.

However, Hill also missed 33 games last year due to various injury problems. With rookie De’Aaron Fox (and even Frank Mason III) needing minutes, this nine-year veteran probably won’t see the same type of role as he did in Utah, especially once the playoffs start to slip out of reach.
