As the New York Knicks look for teams to faciliate the trade of Carmelo Anthony, many options will arise. Of those options, Jabari Parker is one of the worst.

The New York Knicks need injury-prone Jabari Parker about as much as America needs another natural disaster. With that being said, there aren’t any good options for a Carmelo Anthony trade to be found.

Obviously, Carmelo wants to go to the Houston Rockets. It is likely, however, that he will finally learn that adults don’t always get what they want. Houston has very little assets the Knicks want and is determined to include the overpaid Ryan Anderson in any trade.

Simply put, a third or even fourth team will be required to find enough assets to entice Steve Mills into pulling the trade trigger. In recent days, the Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as a possible third team because of Jabari Parker (per Ian Begley of ESPN).

Parker is full of potential, talent and is only 22 years old. Furthermore, the two years remaining on his rookie contract are very team-friendly. His age and contract would be very attractive to the New York Knicks.

While Parker could fit within the Knicks’ vision for the future, trading for him is not a good idea. Hope hasn’t been a common theme in New York but is finally making an appearance for the first time in years. Consequently, there are a few reasons to avoid Jabari and his left knee is one of the biggest.
