The Pistons drafted Lindsey Hunter and Allan Houston with consecutive picks in the 1993 NBA Draft. Even though Hunter played in Detroit significantly longer, Houston gets the nod at No. 10 because his numbers are better. However, Hunter does deserve and gets an honorable mention.
Allan Houston’s departure from Detroit is a classic example of the Pistons being the Pistons and shooting themselves in the foot. Three years after drafting him, the Pistons let him slip through their fingers in free agency. Houston signed with the New York Knicks in the summer of 1996 after being low-balled by Detroit.
