4. Mentor Dakari Johnson

IP Man was Bruce Lee’s mentor and teacher. In terms of fame and notoriety, IP Man has all of that, but Bruce Lee exceeded IP Man’s stature.

Dakari Johnson is the new up-and-coming big man for the OKC Thunder. He has the talent to become as good as he wants to be. Johnson made it to the all G League team this past season. After impressing in the now called G League, Johnson has been signed by the Thunder and will be trying to make his name known in the NBA as well.

In the G League, Johnson averaged 15.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks a game, dominating the competition. Adams should take Johnson under his wing this season and let him know the ropes.

It seems unlikely now, but Adams may one day be surpassed by Johnson, which is just the nature of the NBA. But if he gives Johnson the knowledge that he has, then it looks like the Thunder will have the depth that they lacked last year.
