New York Knicks: 5 Goals for Damyean Dotson’s rookie year
By Randy Porga
No.3 Staying consistent from the field
Damyean Dotson is not only remarkable from long-range, even on the inside he appears to have all the right tools.
While he sported a rock solid three-point percentage, his senior year he found his way to making 46.9 percent of his attempts from the field.
According to Draft Express, he is cited for making 41.4 percent of his pull-up jumpers off the bounce. His speed and great handles enable him to create space for his athletic 6-foot-6 frame.
His ability to sprint off of pick and rolls further makes him available. He often leaves his defenders a step behind being unable to contest his shot making for an easy jumper.

With fan favorite Ron Baker proven to be able to play at the 1 spot, it’s possible to see an exciting playmaking tandem between the two.
The Knicks do have more than a few talented guards on their roster including Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr, Ramon Sessions and also fellow rookie Frank Ntilkina.
Despite their depth in this position, most have the ability to play two-way guard or even at the 3 making an all around interesting array of options the Knicks can use from night-to-night.
