3. Make 35 percent of his threes, 75 percent of his free throws

Isaac’s shooting potential is one of the key components factored into the wide range of outcomes for him as a prospect. His freshman year at Florida State was promising, but wasn’t exceptional.

As a three-point shooter, he cooled off toward the end of the year. On the season, he ended up shooting just 34.8 percent from three. The Magic would probably take that for his rookie season. However, if he barely ever eclipses a 35 percent shooting percentage, it will severely hinder his ceiling. That’s not to say he needs to shoot 40 percent, but comfortably in the middle would make a huge difference.

It would make Isaac so much more dangerous. More players would close out on on him, allowing him to grow in confidence at attacking closeouts. Now, one encouraging sign was his free throw shooting. Finishing the year at 78 percent, he was arguably the Seminoles’ go-to shooter from the charity stripe. Isaac has decent form, so the numbers are encouraging that he can extend his range and his accuracy. Plays like this make you marvel at his potential:

If he can stay within his college ballpark for next season, it would be a success. Hitting at least 35 percent from three and 75 percent from the line may seem like a tall ask, but it’s completely in his wheelhouse.
