10. Brendan Haywood 2001-09

Career stats with Washington Wizards:  530 GP, 7.5 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 23.7 MPG, 52.7 FG%

Brendan Haywood enjoyed a fairly long career during his 13 years in the NBA. Haywood was drafted in the first round of the 2001 NBA Draft as the 20th pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Through a series of trades, he found his way to the Washington Wizards and would remain there for more than half of his career.

Brendan Haywood was a seven-foot center who played hard-nosed, physical basketball. Although he did not start for roughly 130 games that were played throughout his career, he proved reliable.

It comes as no surprise the Wizards found success as Haywood saw an uptick in playing time and opportunities. The Wizards struggled to reach 41 wins during Haywood’s first three seasons, but then made four straight appearances in the postseason.

Ultimately he was traded away along with Caron Butler, and the Wizards would not reach 30 wins for the next five seasons.
