5. Sheldon Mac a bright spot

Of the five straight losses suffered by the Washington Wizards, Sheldon Mac kept the Wizards from looking worse than they actually were.

Despite a very shaky first game where he shot 22 percent from the field, he showed game-to-game improvement on offense. Of course, this is with exception to his perimeter shooting, which deteriorated. He finished Summer League shooting 3-for-18 from the perimeter.

Besides that sole blindspot in his game the next four games, he led the team in scoring twice and shot over 60 percent from the field for four straight games.

It feels like a stretch to say any player seemed ready to be a leader on the summer squad, but Mac was certainly pressing the issue. He finished the tournament averaging 13.2 points per game.

Sheldon Mac is guaranteed $50,000 leading up to Wednesday Jan. 10, 2018.

Given the Washington Wizards filled their 17th spot on the roster by signing Devin Robinson to a two-way contract, Mac may have few opportunities to prove himself and remain on the roster past that date.

All in all, Sheldon McClellan was a bright spot during the Washington Wizards summer tournament.
