The Washington Wizards struggled through the entirety of the 2017 NBA Summer League. While there were a few moments where they performed well as a whole, they were overshadowed by five straight losses.
The lack of draft picks is beginning to catch up to the Wizards and it’s become quite apparent rather quickly. There was not a single player on the Summer League roster that was drafted by the Washington Wizards.
While the franchise is in solid position to compete through the playoffs in the coming years, it is still troubling that they do not have a G-League affiliate to use to groom their younger players.
