5. Sindarius Thornwell – Los Angeles Clippers

While the majority of the most exciting prospects in Las Vegas went early in the draft, don’t sleep on Sindarius Thornwell. The second round pick out of South Carolina will bring tenacious defense that’ll shake up games.

For a Los Angeles Clippers team that just lost Chris Paul, they could use all the help they can get from their rookies on cheap contracts. They could especially use that on the defensive end.

Thornwell has a real chance to earn not just a roster spot, but a role in the team’s rotation. If his shot is falling from three, look out. Can he prove that his senior season was not a fluke? A strong Summer League could be the first step toward establishing himself within the franchise.
