With the start of free agency nearing, we take a look at five players the Sacramento Kings could possibly zero in on and add in the weeks to come.

A week after the 2017 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings are still riding high on the success of their draft night. But now the next checkpoint in the offseason is nearly here, and it’s one that could help the Kings grow even further when all is said and done.

The Kings stand at an interesting point with this year’s free agency set to begin tomorrow. They’ve already made a major addition with the reports earlier this week saying they are set to sign Fenerbahce star, Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Even with the multiple rookies added to their foundation over the last week, the Kings could still stand to add a few pieces, either at positions of need or with players who hold a wealth of experience. They certainly have the means to lure free agents their way, as they have $57 million worth of cap space available on their books this summer, per Spotrac.

But with limited roster spots available, finding free agents that can be productive but who are also willing to take a backseat at times in favor of the Kings’ young talent is not as easy of a task as it sounds.

In the lead up to free agency, the Kings have been attached to some interesting names, some of which we will explore here. Whether they’ll eventually head Sacramento’s way remains to be seen, but the next couple of weeks will be fascinating to watch, both in regards to the Kings and the NBA in general.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at five options the Kings could reasonably pursue this summer.
