Serge Ibaka, PF/C, Toronto Raptors

Signing Serge Ibaka would likely require a contract like Corey Brewer to be moved, as mentioned before. He would be a nice fit at the power forward position long-term for the Lakers and would vastly improve the Lakers’ defense at the basket.

Last season after being traded to the Toronto Raptors, Ibaka averaged 14.2 points per game to go along with 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks. He shot 45.9 percent from the field overall and knocked down 39.8 percent of his three-point attempts. Ibaka is the type of glue piece that every contending team needs to have.

Ibaka is not only a good fit for the Lakers, but he would also add a bigger name that could help attract big names to sign with L.A.

There are going to be plenty of teams offering contracts to Ibaka when free agency opens up. It won’t be easy to sign him, but the Lakers should consider him as an option.
