Harvey Grant was the 12th overall pick by the Washington Bullets in the 1988 NBA Draft. He is the twin brother of Horace Grant, a 17-year veteran who won four NBA championships in his time.
Grant also has three sons and two of them are currently in the NBA. Jerami is a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Jerian is a member of the Chicago Bulls.
Grant had the most productive seasons of his career as a member of the Washington Bullets. He was a member of the team from 1990-93, averaging 18.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game with 234 total starts with the team.
He was traded on June 24, 1993 for Kevin Duckworth to the Portland Trail Blazers. After three seasons with the Blazers, he was traded back to the Bullets along with Rod Strickland on July 15, 1996 for Mitchell Butler and Rasheed Wallace.
Grant had an 11-year career in the NBA. He spent three seasons with Portland, two more with the Bullets/Wizards franchise (six total), one with the Philadelphia 76ers and his final season was with the Orlando Magic in the 1999-00 season.
