Top Four Point Guards

  1. Russell Westbrook ($11,700) vs. Miami Heat
  2. Goran Dragic ($7,100) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
  3. Ish Smith ($5,700) vs. L.A. Clippers
  4. Tim Frazier ($5,400) vs. Golden State Warriors

Rationale:

  • Goran Dragic is playing close to the level that garnered him All-Star consideration during his breakout season with the Suns. As one of seven players averaging more than 19 points per game on less than 15 shot attempts a night, he 6-foot-4 guard is scoring at an extremely efficient rate. Part of the increase from Dragic has been the emergence of his long range shooting. Dragic has made three or more shots from 3-point range in each of the past four games for the Heat and is sinking 53.8 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc this year.
  • The injury replacement for Reggie Jackson has made the most of his opportunity in Detroit. Ism Smith, a player that has bounced around the league playing for 10 different teams during his six-year career, may have found a home with the Pistons. Appointed the starter after Jackson suffered a bout of knee tendinitis, Smith has become a facilitator, averaging 7.5 assists per game, the seventh highest in the NBA this season. The jumper hasn’t been falling for Smith, so if he isn’t creating looks for teammates, his value in FanDuel NBA leagues is limited.
