After playing in the D-League, the Spurs brought Green back in March 2011 and he’s turned into a key role player for a title contender, after a brief stint in Slovenia during the NBA lockout in the fall of 2011.

He was part of the Spurs teams that battled the Miami Heat in back-to-back NBA Finals in 2013 and 2014.

Green averaged 14 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and a steal in 35.4 minutes per game in the 2013 NBA Finals, shooting .444/.551/7-for-8 in a seven-game loss to the Heat.

The following year, he put up 9.2 points, two rebounds, two steals and 1.2 assists in 21.1 minutes per game, shooting .531/.450/3-for-4 as the Spurs beat Miami in five games.

Even as the Spurs put together the best season in franchise history in 2015-16, Green struggled, averaging 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 26.1 minutes per game, while shooting .376/.332/.739 in 79 games, all of which were starts.

In parts of six seasons in San Antonio, Green has averaged 9.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 25.8 minutes per game, shooting .428/.405/.822.

Green averaged 13.1 points per game as a senior at North Carolina, helping the Tar Heels to a national championship.

A second-round pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2009 NBA Draft, Green was waived in October 2010.

He signed a four-year, $40 million deal in July 2015 and is under contract through 2018-19, with the final year a player option. Green is 26th in NBA history with a three-point percentage of .403.
