Marquis Daniels went undrafted in 2003 after averaging 18.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists as a senior at Auburn the previous season.

Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Mavericks in July 2003, Daniels was named an All-Rookie selection in 2003-04 and played a minor role in the 2006 NBA Finals against the Miami Heat.

In the six-game loss, Daniels averaged 2.8 points and 1.3 assists in 8.8 minutes per game, shooting 6-for-11/1-for-3/4-for-5.

In July 2006, Daniels was traded to the Indiana Pacers for Austin Croshere.

In three seasons for Dallas, Daniels averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 23.7 minutes per game, shooting .469/.244/.751.

Daniels signed as a free agent with the Boston Celtics in September 2009 before being traded in February 2011 to the Sacramento Kings—for whom he never played, having injured his back earlier that month.

He returned to Boston as a free agent in December 2011. In September 2012, Daniels signed with the Milwaukee Bucks, playing one final NBA season.

While he never officially retired, Daniels is active in hip-hop circles under the stage name Q6.
