4. Sign David Lee

Experience and floor stretching is what the Indiana Pacers need.

Signing David Lee is another step for strengthening the bench. He has won a championship with the Golden State Warriors and was an All-Star with the both New York Knicks and Golden State.

Last season, Lee signed a $15 million deal with Boston and it’s safe to say things did not work out there. He only played in 30 games, averaging 15.7 minutes, 7.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Lee was waived by the Celtics after just seven months and he was signed by the Dallas Mavericks, where he had a slight career revival.

Lee averaged 17.7 minutes, 8.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. These are the type of numbers that Indiana could expect from a backup power forward.

Unfortunately for Lee, last year has proven that he is not worth such a large contract as the Boston one. He needs to accept that he is now a role player, not the force that he was.

If Indiana uses him for shooting long 2s or penetrating to the basket which he can still do with great effect, then they will have one of the most dynamic second units in the NBA.
