2. Sign Seth Curry

The Oklahoma City Thunder had some issues at shooting guard last season. Andre Roberson is a top defensive stopper. Dion Waiters is brilliantly inconsistent (or is that inconsistently brilliant?). Anthony Morrow is a lights out shooter but not much more. The less said about Randy Foye‘s time in Oklahoma City, the better.

Seth Curry is a restricted free agent, currently playing for the Sacramento Kings. While he is the younger brother of Stephen Curry, Seth would want to prove that he is a good player in his own right.

Curry would come in to the second unit as their primary ball handler, taking the pressure off Durant when Westbrook is not on the court.

This should help cut down the turnovers that plagued the Thunder last year. They were fourth worst in the NBA last year with 1,305, which equates to 15.9 per game.

“The less said about Randy Foye’s time at Oklahoma City the better.”

Curry is also a three-point marksman like his brother, hitting a fantastic 45 percent from beyond the arc (50-of-111). The Thunder would use Curry in a similar role to Foye. For the Thunder, Foye hit 31 percent from outside (25-of-81).

This would space the floor as no one can afford to leave a 45 percent three-point shooter with any space. Coupled with his distribution skills, Curry would have the second unit playing cohesive basketball.

With the entire Oklahoma starting five, except Durant, eligible for free agency next season, a little insurance is required.
